The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s academic brilliance, describing him as a genius after meeting several people who studied alongside him in the United States.

Speaking during an interview, Alausa said he had visited the university several times and personally met many of Tinubu’s former classmates.

“I’m telling you hardcore facts. I lived in Chicago for almost 30 years. I’ve been to that university so many times,” the minister said.

When asked whether he had met the President’s classmates, he replied: “Oh, many, many, many, in person.”

Alausa went further to describe Tinubu’s intellectual capacity in strong terms.

“Oh, he’s a genius. Let’s not talk about the capability of this President. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is literally a genius,” he stated.

The remarks came as the minister also defended the President’s academic record, insisting that Tinubu graduated with a first-class degree in accounting.
