Speaking at the event, FinTribe founder, Jennifer Awirigwe, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to equipping women with the knowledge, confidence and opportunities needed to make informed financial decisions.
She disclosed that the FinTribe community had expanded to include women across 47 countries, who had collectively invested more than $8 million.
Awirigwe also highlighted the organisation’s expansion into real estate, the growth of its World Women’s Academy and the recent launch of a mobile application designed to connect members with learning resources, investment opportunities and community activities.
According to her, the platform was created to strengthen connections among members and provide easier access to financial education and investment-related information.
She said the organisation measured its success not merely by the number of people attending its events but by the practical financial progress made by women within its community.
Awirigwe explained that the most significant achievements included women making their first investments, starting businesses and gaining the confidence to take control of their financial futures.
The finance fair, themed ‘I CAN’, was designed to challenge limiting beliefs that discourage women from pursuing financial opportunities, acquiring property and building generational wealth.
She encouraged participants to engage with financial experts and exhibitors at the event, ask questions and apply the knowledge gained to their personal financial decisions.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of NGX Regulation Limited, Olufemi Shobajo, commended FinTribe for sustaining conversations around financial inclusion, investor education and the development of Nigeria’s financial ecosystem.
Shobajo reaffirmed his organisation’s partnership with FinTribe, noting that financial empowerment extended beyond access to bank accounts and financial products.
He stressed that individuals also needed the knowledge and understanding required to make effective use of available financial opportunities.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Bamike ‘BamBam’ Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, urged women to prioritise personal development and invest in acquiring valuable skills.
She described self-investment as an asset that could create opportunities and enable individuals to reproduce the value of their knowledge and experience in different environments.
“You are your greatest investment.

Once you invest in yourself, wherever you find yourself in the world, you can reproduce the value of everything you have poured into yourself,” she said.
