According to EY, the event comes as businesses navigate increasingly complex operating conditions and regulatory requirements, placing greater demands on organisations to strengthen oversight, transparency and accountability.
This year’s edition will examine the changing responsibilities of audit committees and how they can improve their oversight functions, respond to emerging risks and regulatory developments, and strengthen stakeholder confidence.
In a statement outlining the objectives of the summit, EY said the gathering would provide a platform for participants to exchange practical insights on emerging risks, regulatory changes and effective governance practices.
“This year’s Summit will provide an important platform for sharing practical insights and perspectives on emerging risks, regulatory developments and leading governance practices.
It will deepen understanding of evolving corporate governance, financial reporting and regulatory issues, while promoting meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing among Audit Committee members, business leaders, regulators and other stakeholders,” the firm said.
EY added that the summit would encourage stronger collaboration across the corporate governance ecosystem and highlight the role of audit committees in promoting transparency, accountability and sustainable long-term value creation.
The event is targeted at senior professionals and decision-makers responsible for governance, organisational oversight, risk management and financial stewardship.
Through the gathering, EY aims to facilitate discussions on issues reshaping the audit committee agenda and explore practical ways organisations can strengthen governance structures and oversight processes.
