Fred Leonard wins best actor at 2019 Pink Awards (PHOTOS)

Frederick Leonard, a Nollywood actor, who has carved an enviable niche for himself in the Nigerian make believe industry, has emerged Actor of the Year at the 2019 Pink Awards held recently.

The actor polled 372 votes against the likes of Bolanle Ninalowo, Alex Ekubo and Ibrahim Chatta, who were nominated for the coveted category.

A native of Anambra state and a Biochemistry graduate, Fred ventured into acting in 2008 with his debut movie titled ‘Indian Doctor’ and the hit the TV series “Disclosure” in 2009 after.

And since, the soft spoken and smooth actor has not relented.

In a recent interview, the actor said his passion for arts and firm belief in impacting the society have been the fuel pushing him to expand and perfect his acts daily.

The actor, however, appreciated the organisers of the awards and his fans who continually stayed by him through his career spanning 19years.

The third edition of Pink Awards, held at Mimaya Event Centre in Lagos on December 24, 2019 was an initiative of La Veronica magazine.
