Film tourism is seen to be a growing phenomenon in arts and culture, which should be considered to be part of any tourism marketing strategy, business and recreation, because one cannot exist without the other.
In order to harness the opportunities in the film tourism, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts Culture, Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, has invited practitioners to a participatory zoom interactive session.
The topic of discussion is Collaboration Between Nollywood and Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos state.
This interactive zoom session, which will held between 4 -5:30pm on Sunday, June 21, 2020, would define how film could be used to drive and promote tourism, arts and culture in a considerable tourism market.
Discussions will centre on the urgent needs to translate the Lagos state tourism, arts and cultural industry into a direct digital marketing, personal selling, and public relations and sales promotion through the contributions of the Nigerian motion picture entertainment industry.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is the owner, assignee and exclusively licensed in ministry to exhibit creative content in the largest repertoire of creative works and activities in Lagos State.
