The Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos, HRH Dr. Abiola Dosumu, is presently not happy and the cause has been linked to an unsolicited invitation which originated from the popular socialite, Princess Oluwatoyin Kolade, Freelanews can exclusively report.

In what is known in local parlance as forming familiarity, a video recording being circulated online showed someone appraising an invitation card for the coronation of latter as the Iyalaje Oodua Worldwide which was endorsed by the Ooni of Ife, Ọjájá II, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

Dr. Dosumu, in a strongly worded message signed by Her Highness personal assistant, Onyeka Emmanuel, which Freelanews chanced on, saw the use of her name in the said invite as an insult and demanded that the video be brought down and the invitation should be recalled.

“The attention of Her Royal Highness, Dr Abiola Dosumu, the Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos has been drawn by Family, Colleagues, Friends and Well Wishers to a series of videos depicting an invitation card by Princess Oluwatoyin Kolade that was posted on your Instagram page with this link (an online media platform).

“While Princes Oluwatoyin Kolade is an acquaintance of the Her Royal Highness and is perceived by Her Royal Highness to be a person of good manners and morals, Her Royal Highness wishes to express her displeasure of her name been used without her knowledge and also of been insulted by her being used as an RSVP,” the message read.

Hence, her highness demanded that the video be brought down.

“The Erelu Kuti of Lagos, for your information, is a first-class ranked Title in the Yoruba land, and as such holds and carries a lot of prestige.

“Her Royal Highness wishes that those videos be quietly taken down from your Instagram page as those videos have created a dent in her image,” Emmanuel wrote.

The video, which was uploaded July 2, is still on the said platform as at the time of publishing this and Freelanews wondered how it is just coming to the attention of Her Highness several days after.

Whether the video would be brought down and the beautifully crafted invites already circulated far and wide would be recalled, the coming days be would be the judge of that.
