Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has pledged to fix one side of the 32km Sango-Ota/ Ijoko/Olambe/Akute/ Alagbole road in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state by December.

The governor assured residents of the area that his administration would fix one side out of the existing dualised section of the 32km road before December.

Abiodun, who made the promise when he visited the area, commended residents for their patience despite their harrowing experience daily while commuting through the bad road.

The governor said, Though the Ota/ Sango Abeokuta Road belongs to the Federal Government, the sense of urgency attached to the road was borne out of the desire to ensure that people who have been hitherto neglected for years in the area feel the impact of government during my administration.

“One lane of the 32km road from Sango-Ota through Ijoko to Alagbole will be done between now and December to ensure that motorists and other road users who ply the road daily do so without stress which has been their lot for years.”

He directed the contractor handling the road to ensure that the December deadline set for phases 1 and 6 of the project is achieved.
