As the war in Sudan hots up, many civilians, including those of other neigbouring African countries and foreigners are becoming causalities everyday.

The violent clashes are between Sudan’s army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group, and have already claimed an estimation of over 400 people, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Thousands of civilians have fled Khartoum, Sudan’s capital, with foreign nations making efforts to evacuate their citizens.

In a video that had since gone viral online, Sudanese soldiers were seen slaughtering civilians, especially foreigners, caught in war.

The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, was among several known personalities all over the world that had condemned the actions of the soldiers.

“I just watched a horrific video of Sudanese soldiers slaughtering their fellow Africans in the streets of Khartoum. The French, Germans, Turkish, Portuguese, Polish, Irish, Dutch & others have managed to evacuate their citizens. For God’s sake when are we getting ours out? If we need to send in the military we MUST do so! These are OUR compatriots and most of them are students,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

Earlier, there had been reports of another African country, Ethiopia denying fleeing Nigerian students from seeking refuge in her country.

In another video the former minister shared, a narrator alleged that Ethiopians are targeting Nigerians and sending them back to face the war.

This is outrageous and sickening. The Ethiopians have a case to answer and something MUST be done about it. pic.twitter.com/g6i3DI5PAT
