The trigger happy police officer, Inspector Kabiru Odeyemi, who murdered a generator repairer, Damola Bakare, in Lagos has been recommended for dismissal.
Recall that Freelanews reports how Odeyemi, an officer attached to the Alausa Police Division, indiscriminately shot into the air to disperse crowd and a stray bullet hit the 24-year-old Bakare. READ HERE
A family member explained that the police officer that shot Idris was not on duty at the time, noting that the cop always came around to harass and torment people in the area.

While updating the public on the ongoing investigation, the Lagos Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the inspector’s dismissal would pave the way for his arraignment over the murder.
“The recommendation for dismissal of Inspector Kabiru Odeyemi was today approved. This paves way for his arraignment which will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, assures Lagosians of his unwavering determination to police the state within the dictates of rule of law, civility and respect for human life,” he explained.
