“The National President, Mr. John Aduloju, was invited to present the guild to the International Federation of Cinematographers (IMAGO), where he successfully introduced CSN to the world body and effectively addressed numerous inquiries.

“We are delighted to share that CSN was unanimously admitted as a full member without opposition.

“This momentous admission into IMAGO signifies an important achievement for CSN, elevating us to the global stage and providing an opportunity to showcase the highest quality of works from Nollywood,” Nwosu said.

IMAGO, which comprises 55 guilds of cinematographers, recently held its IEGA 2023 (IMAGO Extraordinary General Assembly) with the attendance of 44 guilds.

Nwosu believed that the admission is a clarion call to all stakeholders in the Nigerian movie industry to do more in striving for excellence.

“It serves as a clarion call to all CSN cinematographers, urging them to enhance their skills and strive for excellence to remain relevant in the industry.

“Following this admission, CSN will embark on a restructuring process and introduce a new categorization of membership to meet and exceed IMAGO’s expectations. We proudly represent the Cinematographers Society of Nigeria (CSN) as an esteemed member of IMAGO,” the general secretary concluded.

Formerly known as Nigeria Society of cinematographers (NSC), the Cinematographers Society of Nigeria was birthed in the late 90’s but inaugurated in 2002.
