The Christmas outreach was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by her Special Adviser on Media, Mike Idoko.
The distribution took place simultaneously in Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okene, Okehi, and Ogori-Magongo Local Government Areas.
According to the statement, the initiative aimed to cushion the impact of rising food prices and enable families to celebrate the festive season with dignity.
Speaking during the exercise, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan said compassion and service-driven leadership informed the intervention.
She said Christmas remained a season of love, sacrifice, and shared joy, especially for households struggling with the cost of living.
The senator explained that the rice distribution was designed to provide practical relief and reduce hardship across Kogi Central.
The 25kg bags of rice were distributed to community groups, women’s associations, youth organisations, religious bodies, elderly residents, and other vulnerable persons.
Community leaders who supervised the outreach described it as one of the largest Christmas rice distributions witnessed in the area.
A traditional leader in Okene said the scale and reach of the intervention reflected genuine concern for grassroots welfare.
The Akpoti-Uduaghan Christmas outreach adds to the senator’s growing record of constituency projects in healthcare, education, water supply, solar-powered infrastructure, and youth and women empowerment.
Addressing beneficiaries in Okehi, the senator reaffirmed that representation extended beyond legislative duties.
She said effective leadership required presence, listening, and decisive action that improved daily life.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and offered prayers, describing the gesture as timely, compassionate, and impactful.
The development comes barely a week after Senate President Godswill Akpabio approached the Supreme Court over legal issues arising from the suspension of the Kogi Central senator.
Court documents dated December 1, 2025, confirmed the move following a Court of Appeal judgment in Abuja.
