An American content creator known online as Tikibeen1 has stirred intense online debate after claiming he was detained inside a Nigerian police station shortly after arriving in the country and informed that he could face deportation.

The streamer made the claim in a video shared on TikTok, where he filmed himself from inside what appeared to be a police facility.
In the footage, Tikibeen1 said he had just landed in Nigeria when security operatives detained him and confiscated his passport.
“I’m about to get deported. I just got off a flight to Nigeria,” the content creator said in the video, which has since circulated widely across social media platforms.
The American TikToker deportation Nigeria claim quickly drew reactions from viewers, with many Nigerians expressing surprise and curiosity over the circumstances surrounding the detention.
Others suggested that immigration or visa compliance issues may have triggered the action, citing Nigeria’s strict entry regulations for foreign nationals.
In a follow-up post, the streamer said he had enjoyed his time in Nigeria despite the situation and promised to keep his followers informed as events unfold.
He did not disclose the exact reason given by authorities for his detention.
As of the time of reporting, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Immigration Service had not issued an official statement confirming the incident or clarifying whether deportation proceedings had commenced.
