Governor Soludo celebrates Cardinal Francis Arinze’s 92nd birthday, hailing his lifelong service, faith, and role as an Anambra State icon.

 

 

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nambra State Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo extended warm birthday wishes to His Eminence, Cardinal Francis Arinze, on his 92nd birthday, observed on 1 November 2024.

The governor praised Cardinal Arinze as one of Anambra’s most distinguished sons and a globally revered figure within the Catholic Church.

In his congratulatory message, Governor Soludo highlighted Cardinal Arinze’s enduring legacy, lauding him as a beacon of faith, intellectual excellence, and selfless service to both God and humanity.

Soludo remarked that the Cardinal’s lifelong contributions to the Catholic Church are a testament to his deep spirituality and commitment, earning him respect worldwide.

“Cardinal Arinze has become a bastion of spiritual wisdom, a model of diplomatic excellence, and a dedicated pastor whose impact on spreading the Gospel and fostering interfaith dialogue is truly inspirational,” Soludo stated, emphasising Arinze’s remarkable journey from Onitsha to the highest echelons of the Vatican.

Governor Soludo further expressed pride in Arinze’s achievements, describing him as an “illustrious son of Anambra” whose life story continues to inspire the people of Anambra and Nigerians across the country.

He extended his best wishes to the Cardinal, praying for his continued health, divine guidance, and enduring leadership.

Born on 1 November 1932 in Eziowelle, within the Archdiocese of Onitsha, Cardinal Arinze’s life has been marked by distinguished service, including his significant work in promoting Catholicism and strengthening ties among people of various faiths.

As a central figure within the Vatican, his contributions have enhanced Nigeria’s reputation in the global faith community, making him a source of pride for Anambra and Nigeria alike.

Governor Soludo’s tribute was shared by Catholics worldwide, who continue to look to Cardinal Arinze for inspiration in faith and service.
