Angela Okorie arrest leads to her remand in Suleja prison after arraignment over alleged cyber-related defamation offences
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie was on Wednesday remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre after being arraigned over alleged cyber-related offences bordering on defamation, following her arrest in Lagos by police operatives.

Angela Okorie was arrested on Tuesday by operatives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department before being transferred to Abuja for further action by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the development, with the police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, stating that the actress was taken into custody by the NPF National Cybercrime Center in Abuja.
Okorie was subsequently charged to court on Wednesday, where she was remanded pending further proceedings.
Filmmaker Ajemba Stanley, who disclosed details of the court appearance, said the actress was arraigned and ordered into custody at the Suleja Correctional Centre after the hearing.
Police sources said the case relates to alleged cybercrime offences, including defamation, though full details of the charges were not immediately made public at the time of filing this report.
