The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the party’s internal polls and recent electoral performance provide real statistics showing that President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 general election.

Yilwatda has repeatedly expressed strong confidence in the APC’s prospects, describing the party as healthy, prepared and ready to retain power at all levels.

He pointed to the ruling party’s performance in recent by-elections and local contests, noting that the APC won the majority of the seats contested while major opposition parties failed to secure even councillorship positions in some areas.

“We are very confident that our party can win this election; we are prepared to win the 2027 election,” the chairman has stated on several occasions.

Yilwatda has also dismissed emerging opposition platforms such as the ADC and NDC as “just participants” rather than serious contenders, arguing that their inability to win grassroots seats demonstrates the APC’s dominance.

The National Working Committee of the party has passed a vote of confidence in Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, affirming full support for their re-election bid.

While the chairman cited the party’s own assessments and recent results as evidence, independent surveys by organisations such as SBM Intelligence have at times shown different voter preference trends.
