BOCA Energy CEO James Ukachukwu will chair NUJ Lagos Correspondents’ Chapel Press Week 2026 scheduled for June 27 in Lagos
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BOCA ENERGY RESOURCES LTD, Mr James Ukachukwu, has confirmed his role as chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Lagos State Council Correspondents’ Chapel Press Week scheduled for 27 June 2026 in Lagos State.

The confirmation followed a formal invitation extended by the planning committee of the NUJ Lagos State Council Correspondents’ Chapel, which organises the annual media event for journalists across major newsrooms in the state.
Mr Ukachukwu affirmed his acceptance and pledged to attend in person, signalling support for media collaboration and professional journalism standards.
BOCA Energy’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr Alfred Abiodun, said the chairman’s participation reflects his commitment to engaging with the media community.
“The Chairman has officially responded to the letter from the event organisers, in which he affirmed his intention to attend in person,” Abiodun said.
He added that Mr Ukachukwu looks forward to meaningful engagement with correspondents and discussions on journalism and national development.
The NUJ Lagos Correspondents’ Chapel Press Week is a flagship annual programme that gathers political, business, and investigative journalists across Lagos State.
The event typically features lectures, symposiums, awards presentations, and networking sessions aimed at strengthening ethical journalism and professional reporting standards.
Mr Ukachukwu’s acceptance to chair the 2026 edition is expected to bring industry perspective from Nigeria’s energy sector into discussions on governance, economic growth, and media responsibility.
He is widely recognised for his experience in oil and gas operations, corporate leadership, and community development initiatives.
