A truck has reportedly crushed a CDC Chairman, Mr. Edun, who alongside other members of the community was carrying out a maintenance repair on Iyana-Iyesi road, Ijaba area.
As gathered by VOA News correspondent, “The truck driver was reluctant to pay a repair toll which could have enabled him pass”.
The CDC Chairman, Mr. Edun allegedly mounted the truck in a bit to convince the truck driver to pay, but the ugly incidence occurred when his hand slipped from the hanger and he fell, allowing the truck to ram and cut him into two.
However, angry mobs, in a reprisal, set the truck ablaze, burning the driver and three other motor boys.
Wreckage of the burnt vehicle is still at the scene of the event as at press time, while the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the State Hospital, Onipanu, Ota, Ogun State.
