Akinnanu was interred beside Nollywood actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola, who passed away recently.
The burial followed a revised schedule set by the family after concerns were raised over the circumstances surrounding the singer’s sudden passing.
Earlier plans, including a multi-day tribute and private interment, were cancelled to allow for spiritual consultations and prayers.
According to the family, Bunmi Akinnanu deserved a befitting and honourable farewell, which prompted the decision to adjust the funeral arrangements.
The service included a Service of Songs and an Artiste Night held at Ben Auto Event Center, Akowonjo Roundabout, Lagos, on January 28.
The private interment on January 29 was strictly for family and close allies.
The family thanked those who showed support and asked the public to respect their privacy during the final rites.
