The draw was announced late Wednesday night on the English Football League website.

It followed Manchester City’s 2–0 win over Brentford and Newcastle United’s dramatic stoppage-time victory against Fulham.

Those results secured both clubs a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

According to the official release, Chelsea will face the winners of the quarter-final clash between Arsenal and Crystal Palace.

The remaining quarter-final is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City booked their semi-final spot with a composed performance against Brentford on Wednesday night.

Newcastle United progressed after midfielder Lewis Miley scored a decisive stoppage-time header against Fulham.

Chelsea reached the semi-finals earlier in the week with a late 3–1 away victory over Cardiff City.

The London side, managed by former club legend Frank Lampard, conceded early before rallying strongly.

Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto both scored, with Garnacho netting twice to seal the win.

The English Football League said the first legs of the Carabao Cup semi-final ties will be played in the week commencing January 12, 2026.

The second legs are scheduled for the week commencing February 2, 2026.

The draw sets the stage for a compelling conclusion to the competition, with several high-profile clubs still in contention.
