OXFORD CIRCUS tube has been shut, sparking rush hour chaos in the centre of London.
The closure has sparked huge congestion outside the station, with Londoners left in the pouring rain.
One person wrote on Twitter: “Getting very dangerous on Oxford Street due to Oxford Circus station being closed. Congestion, people spilling onto the road etc.”
TfL tweeted one customer who asked about the closure, saying: “Due to health and safety the station has had to temporarily close, which has been for a while now.
“It would be best where possible to use another station.”
