Chinmaya Foundation’s International Talent Search engages over 91,000 contestants, honouring global talents and launching a beauty contest in 2025
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Chinmaya Foundation, an international organisation dedicated to peace and humanism, has successfully conducted its International Rural Talent Search Mission.

The initiative, which ran from September to 31 December 2024, attracted an astounding 91,386 participants across nine online competitions.
Diverse Competitions Across Cultural Fields
The contests showcased a wide range of talents, including fine arts, traditional performances, and creative expressions. The breakdown of participation across different categories was as follows:
– Kuanar Punei Five-Evening Flower House Competition: 3,724 participants
– Panchak Muruj Five-Day Contest: 28,535 participants
– Rangoli Competition on Kali Puja: 1,372 participants
– Sera Jhoti Art Contest (Margashir Month): 21,973 participants
– Fine Arts Competition: 22,793 participants
– Mehendi Design Contest: 12,618 participants
– Song Contest: 123 participants
– Dance and Acting Competitions: 162 and 96 participants, respectively
Honouring Global Excellence: Personality of the Year Award 2024
On 26 January 2025, during the foundation’s 15th Annual Friendship Meeting, the results of all competitions was announced.
The event will also mark the celebration of Dr Chinmaya Dash’s birthday, the founder and international chairman of the Chinmaya Foundation.

One of the key highlights will be the Personality of the Year Award 2024, which recognises outstanding global achievers. Representatives from 72 countries will join the virtual award ceremony via Zoom.
The first phase of honourees includes six distinguished individuals from six nations, while the second phase has named 14 outstanding talents. Among the awardees are:
– Dr Kelvin Kamayoyo (Zambia) – Economist, author, and environmentalist
– Dravid Gachuhi (Kenya) – Editor-in-Chief, Finder Newspaper
– Dr Shang Jinge (China) – Senior journalist, translator, and economist
– Amb. Mohmoud Attallah Abuowda (Palestine) – Educationist and founder of the International Academy for Sustainable Development
– Dr Vipin Gaur (India) – Senior journalist and media advisor
– Amb. Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi (Nigeria) – Social activist and senior organiser
Further awardees include journalists, artists, and thought leaders from countries such as Pakistan, Italy, Venezuela, Côte d’Ivoire, and Haiti, honouring their contributions to media, sports, and arts.
World Beauty Queen Contest 2025 Launched
Expanding its global cultural outreach, the Chinmaya Foundation has also launched the World Beauty Queen Contest 2025, which will run online from 26 January to 25 December 2025.
According to Dr Dash, the competition will feature two categories: modern and traditional beauty.
