Cobhams Asuquo will host the 6th edition of Songs and Stories in Abuja with Johnny Drille, Timi Dakolo and Korede Bello
Music lovers in Abuja are set for a special evening as award-winning composer and performer Cobhams Asuquo brings the sixth edition of Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo to the capital.

The concert will hold on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The event promises an intimate night of music, storytelling and collaborations.
For the Abuja edition, Cobhams will share the stage with leading Nigerian artistes including Johnny Drille, Timi Dakolo and Korede Bello.
The performers are expected to deliver powerful vocals backed by rich live instrumentation.
Over the years, Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo has evolved into a unique concert format.
During the show, Cobhams leads the audience through songs from his catalogue and musical influences.
He also shares the inspirations and personal stories behind his career.
Unlike the traditional concert structure, the show unfolds as a musical journey.
It blends live arrangements, candid storytelling and on-stage collaborations.
The format places musicianship and audience connection at the centre of the experience.
The Abuja edition is supported by several partners including Legend Extra Stout, Wema Bank, The Macallan and Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
Other partners include Four Cousins, Pepsi, Pennek Nigeria, Abysteph Global Link, Akins Corporate Services and Castle Lite.
Speaking about the show, Cobhams described the concert as one of the most personal expressions of his work.
“Songs and Stories is about more than performing songs,” he said. “It is about sharing the journey behind the music — the people, moments and experiences that shaped it.”
He added that Abuja audiences have always been supportive and he looks forward to performing with fellow artistes and friends.
Cobhams Asuquo is a blind, award-winning Nigerian composer, musical director and performer.
He is widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential music figures.
Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has composed and produced music for major artistes including Davido, Tiwa Savage, Asa, Adekunle Gold, Yemi Alade, Bono, Sauti Sol, Simi, Femi Kuti, Fally Ipupa and Angélique Kidjo.

Through projects such as Songs and Stories, he continues to create live music experiences that connect audiences with the craft and humanity behind the music.
