The performers are expected to deliver powerful vocals backed by rich live instrumentation.

Over the years, Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo has evolved into a unique concert format.

During the show, Cobhams leads the audience through songs from his catalogue and musical influences.

He also shares the inspirations and personal stories behind his career.

Unlike the traditional concert structure, the show unfolds as a musical journey.

It blends live arrangements, candid storytelling and on-stage collaborations.

The format places musicianship and audience connection at the centre of the experience.

The Abuja edition is supported by several partners including Legend Extra Stout, Wema Bank, The Macallan and Transcorp Hilton Abuja.

Other partners include Four Cousins, Pepsi, Pennek Nigeria, Abysteph Global Link, Akins Corporate Services and Castle Lite.

Speaking about the show, Cobhams described the concert as one of the most personal expressions of his work.

“Songs and Stories is about more than performing songs,” he said. “It is about sharing the journey behind the music — the people, moments and experiences that shaped it.”

He added that Abuja audiences have always been supportive and he looks forward to performing with fellow artistes and friends.

Cobhams Asuquo is a blind, award-winning Nigerian composer, musical director and performer.

He is widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential music figures.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has composed and produced music for major artistes including Davido, Tiwa Savage, Asa, Adekunle Gold, Yemi Alade, Bono, Sauti Sol, Simi, Femi Kuti, Fally Ipupa and Angélique Kidjo.
