An astute politician and public servant, Kamorudeen Adegbokiki, has began to reap the fruit of his selfless service to humanity as youthcentric non-government organisations awarded him African Youth Model award.
The newest awardee made this known in a press release made available to Freelanews after the African Youth Society & Global Unity Foundation also decorated him with the Continental Medal of Distinction.
Adegbokiki, who was full of appreciation to God, his family and friends, revealed that the award was his first public recognition of his contribution to the society.
“Earlier today, I received this very special award, The African Youth Model and also Decorated with Continental Medal of Distinction by African Youth Society.”
“This award mean so much to me in the sense that it is MY FIRST open recognition and acknowledgement of little efforts one in contributing within the sociopolitical atmosphere of the society,” he said.
He was honoured with other eminent personalities like the wife of the former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, chairmen of Odeda, Ifo and Ado Odo Ota Local Governments and Tobi Joseph.
Others included Olanrewaju Asabi, Aroboto Rasheed, Korede Coded, Olalekan Adeleye to mention few.
Expressing his feelings, the awardee said he felt so proud receiving this in the company of his wife and daughters, Barakat and Hassanat.
He further showed gratitude to those who lent hands of support to him.
“To Akinmade Adeleke and Sulaimon Babatunde, could not have done better in their show of solidarity supporting me morally and physically. Oyetunde Olorii Hadeola, I most sincerely appreciate you and your husband for the show of love.
“To my leader Rt. Hon. Akinlade Abiodun Isiaq, thank you for providing a platform for me to learn and do the little I have been able to do.
“The kind words, prayers and encouragement received from YOU ALL was the ice on the cake for me. I THANK YOU ALL. I promise to bring more medals home for us to celebrate,” Comr. Ambassador Adegbokiki concluded.
The special guest of honour at the event, which occurred on the December 11, 2020, was Senator Ike Nwachukwu.
