The executive governor of Ogun State, Engr. Dapo Abiodun, has appointed as Senior Special Assistant a journalist and communication specialist, Yomi Owope.
Owope has a robust experience in public relations and communications.
According to information reaching Freelanews, the newly appointed SSA will work directly with the Wife of the Governor, Bamidele Abiodun, on projects, programmes and policy.
A graduate of English Language from University of Lagos with a MSc in Communications from the Pan Atlantic University, Owope has had a stint in politics when he worked as a press secretary to the wife of the former governor of Kwara State, Oluwatoyin Saraki, between the period of 2004 and 2008.
He was anchor on TVC’s Morning Show and several other television programmes over the years.
