In a viral video circulating online, Maduka recounted his rise from what he described as “ground zero” with only a third-grade education to serving on the boards of two publicly quoted Nigerian banks and chairing a credit committee.
He said he would never compare himself with leading billionaires such as Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote. According to him, differences in background and opportunity shape individual journeys to success.
“If they came from where I was coming from, they would have been much more successful people,” Maduka stated, emphasising that his achievements were built despite limited formal education.
Maduka also disclosed that he had been invited by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation in Vienna and currently conducts business across five continents.
The businessman revealed that in 2011 he set a personal goal to mentor 1,000 billionaires in Nigeria.
He said he has so far mentored 67 people who have reached billionaire status, describing the milestone as part of a broader mission to create generational wealth and expand entrepreneurial capacity in the country.
