CP Sani’s Kebbi Security Visit offers condolences to the Immigration Service after three officers were killed in a suspected terrorist attack
Commissioner of Police in Kebbi State, CP Bello M. Sani, on Monday visited the Nigeria Immigration Service Command in Birnin Kebbi to offer condolences after three Immigration officers were killed in a suspected Lakurawa terror attack in Bakin Ruwa last week.

Arriving at the command headquarters shortly before 1 p.m., CP Bello M. Sani met Acting Comptroller DCO M. I. Chinoko and senior officers, describing the deaths as a painful loss to the wider security community.
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the slain officers eternal rest and strengthens their families during what he called an irreparable moment of grief.
The police chief noted that the attack was not an isolated blow to the Immigration Service but a collective hit on all security agencies in the state.
He stressed that the agencies remain united as one team dedicated to protecting Kebbi State, adding that an injury to one sector of the security architecture effectively injures all.
CP Sani reaffirmed the joint resolve of security formations to intensify operations against criminal groups and insisted that their commitment to safeguarding lives and property remains unwavering.
His remarks underscored a renewed emphasis on solidarity and operational synergy following the violent incident.
Acting Comptroller Chinoko expressed appreciation for the visit, stating that the Police Commissioner demonstrated leadership by example through his presence at a difficult time.
He added that the gesture highlighted the strength of inter-agency cooperation in Kebbi State.
The visit concluded with special prayers led by the Command’s Chief Imam, ASP Suleiman Baffa, for the repose of the three officers.
The Nigeria Immigration Service had confirmed on Saturday that gunmen suspected to be Lukarawa terrorists attacked an Immigration checkpoint at Bakin Ruwa, near the Maje border in Bagudo Local Government Area, killing the officers on duty.

Residents said the armed men stormed the location and opened fire, leaving the victims dead on the spot in what authorities described as a brazen and troubling assault.
