Dangote Cement wins Cement Company of the Year at Africa International Housing Show for excellence, quality, and contributions to Africa’s real estate sector
Dangote Cement has been crowned Cement Company of the Year at the recently concluded Africa International Housing Show in Abuja, earning yet another accolade for its industry leadership.

Recognised for its outstanding support to Africa’s real estate sector, the award was presented by Sokoto State Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, represented by his deputy Idris Gobir, who hailed Dangote Cement as a “household name and pride of Africa.”
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmad Dangiwa, praised the company for its role in economic development, urging collaboration to bridge Nigeria’s housing deficit.
Director-General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute, Prof. Samson Duna, commended the firm’s dominance in West Africa, calling it a standard-bearer for quality.

At the company’s Special Day, National Sales Director Dolapo Alli stressed the need for public-private partnerships to deliver affordable housing, suggesting tax incentives for developers to spur mass housing initiatives.
