The Afrobeats star headlines Davido & Friends before announcing two London stadium dates for 2027

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, delivered a lively performance at the Crystal Palace Bowl on Friday, entertaining a large crowd during the “Davido & Friends” concert and subsequently announcing plans for two more London stadium shows in 2027.

The outdoor performance formed part of the Crystal Palace Bowl summer festival series and marked what Davido had described as his first UK festival appearance and his only outdoor London show of the summer.

Davido was joined on the festival bill by a strong line-up of Nigerian, Ghanaian and international acts, including Omah Lay, Black Sherif, Gabzy, T x C, Jazzwrld & Thukuthela, Ecool, Fola and Mayorkun.

The concert gave fans an opportunity to experience Davido’s catalogue in an open-air setting, with the singer performing some of his popular songs during the headline set.

The event also became a platform for Davido to reveal his next major plans for the UK.

Following the performance, the singer announced two London stadium dates for 2027, signalling his intention to build on his growing relationship with British audiences.

Davido subsequently shared the announcement on his Instagram Story, with details indicating that the two performances would form part of a London stadium tour next year.

The announcement adds another significant chapter to Davido’s international touring schedule and comes as Afrobeats continues to strengthen its presence in major global music markets.
