Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that maintaining his celebrity lifestyle requires monthly spending of between $200,000 and $300,000, equivalent to about N300 million to N400 million.

The singer made the disclosure during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, explaining that the figure covers his personal expenses but does not include the costs associated with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.

Davido said the financial demands of being a global entertainer extend beyond everyday living costs, with additional expenses linked to luxury purchases and maintaining his public image.

“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” he said.

The music star added that the amount also excludes spending on high-value items such as luxury vehicles and jewellery.

The revelation has sparked conversations about the financial responsibilities that come with celebrity status, particularly for entertainers operating on an international scale.

Davido, one of Africa’s most recognised Afrobeats artists, has built a global career through hit songs, international collaborations and major performances, making him one of the continent’s leading figures in contemporary music.

His comments offer insight into the costs associated with managing a high-profile lifestyle, where personal expenses often overlap with professional commitments, public appearances and brand expectations.
