Are you wondering who the top ranking Nollywood actress at the moment is? Then you may need to head out to the cinema on February 14 to see Dear Affy.

The movie is the latest from director Samuel Olatunji (Big Sam) and is favoured to be the next big thing in the box office in the New Year.

Right from the early scenes, a movie enthusiast would have noticed that Dear Affy doesn’t begin the way most love story movies begin. There is a twist to the normal male chasing a lady, then both fall in love and live happily ever after. The twists in the movie are to keep you glued to your seat and still enjoy every moment of it.

It is often said that when an experienced actor is in the hand of an adept director, his destiny is changed.

Dear Affy features a great lead performance by Kehinde Bankole, with its narrative and theme being very relatable.

The beautiful gap-toothed Kehinde headlines Dear Affy as Affy, a single and modern woman, who has always been convinced about what she wants and meticulously plan towards achieving it. And this habit doesn’t exclude love and also love making! So somehow, and not without strategising, she hooks the man she believes would fit into her marriage time-table as a perfect man.
