EFCC arraigns accountant for N200m theft as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 on Monday brought Oguibe Promise Nkwachukwu and his company, Wifamapp Royalty Global Limited, before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja.

The accused is facing a 13-count charge bordering on alleged theft of ₦200 million, reportedly diverted while he served as an accountant at Travelstar Web Logistics Limited.
According to EFCC investigators, Nkwachukwu systematically siphoned company funds during his tenure, transferring large sums into accounts linked to his private firm.
His company, Wifamapp Royalty Global Limited, was also named in the charge sheet as a co-defendant.
During proceedings, prosecuting counsel from the EFCC informed the court that the stolen funds were misappropriated between 2022 and 2024.
The anti-graft agency alleged that the defendant abused his position of trust, orchestrating a financial scheme that drained the logistics company’s accounts of hundreds of millions of naira.
The court heard that the transactions lacked proper authorisation and were flagged during an internal audit, prompting the company to petition the EFCC.
Justice Oshodi ordered that the defendant be remanded in EFCC custody, pending the hearing of his bail application.
The case was adjourned to October 28, 2025.
This arraignment adds to a growing list of white-collar crime cases currently under prosecution by the EFCC, as the agency intensifies efforts to clamp down on financial misconduct in Nigeria’s corporate sector.
