In his heartfelt message to Abuja residents on Friday, Wike highlighted the significance of Eid-el-Maulud beyond celebration — a time to embody the Prophet’s teachings of acceptance, love, and kindness.

He said, “Eid-el-Maulud is an opportunity for us to come together as residents of the FCT to uphold our commitment to values of acceptance, love and kindness that the Prophet preached.”

Wike also praised the community and essential workers for their role in maintaining peace and progress in the FCT since his administration began.

Reaffirming his commitment to infrastructure, security, and healthcare, Wike encouraged residents to contribute actively by obeying laws, paying taxes, and participating in civic activities.

“As we celebrate, I urge you to extend friendship across all backgrounds and foster a united community,” he added.

The minister also called for prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s success and for peace and prosperity in the FCT and Nigeria as a whole.
