In response to a recent publication by a blog, Celestial Prerogatives, two high ranking members of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, V/S/E S.F. Adeniyi and Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, have come together to clarify the misinformation and falsehoods contained in the article.

The article, titled “Ajala Subverts Adeniyi: Justice Vanishes,” falsely claimed that Adeniyi was instructed to vacate his position due to his support for the Pastor’s official letter congratulating M/S/E Samson Olatunde Banjo on his 90th birthday.

However, the joint statement dismissed these claims, affirming that there was no such instruction for Adeniyi to vacate his position.

It was further emphasized that the presence of His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa, at Banjo’s 90th Birthday Thanksgiving Service was seen as a positive step towards reconciliation and peace within the Celestial Church of Christ.

The statement also highlighted the strong working relationship between V/S/E S.F. Adeniyi and Superior Evangelist Ajala, calling it a commendable partnership that has yielded positive results.

Ajala’s elevation to a more senior position within the administration was explained as a measure to enhance productivity and efficiency.

While also addressing the journalistic ethics, condemning the publication of fiction as facts and urging professionalism in journalism, it asserted that the enemies of the Celestial Church of Christ would eventually face defeat.

Read full statement below.

We (VSE S.F. Adeniyi and Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala) had just left a meeting at the pastoral residence in Lagos at about 6.00 pm on Thursday, 2nd November, 2023, when our attention was drawn to the nauseating cocktail of lies, deceit and falsehood published by a rag sheet and online propaganda platform known as Celestial Prerogatives, under the poorly crafted title, “Ajala Subverts Adeniyi: Justice Vanishes.”

And truly, we both had a good laugh after reading the thoughtless piece which desperately sought to create the impression that VSE S.F. Adeniyi “was abruptly instructed to vacate his position. The reason? He dared to support the Pastor’s official letter to M/S/E/ Samson Olatunde Banjo, congratulating him on his 90th birthday.” The desperate propagandist and agent of division in C.C.C. who authored the disgusting article in Celestial Prerogatives also spewed that, “Immediately after the Pastor returned home, VSE Adeniyi was labelled an enemy of the Pastor because he insisted that the Pastor should attend M/S/E Banjo’s birthday. Consequently, the Pastor initially approved his immediate transfer to a parish in Kenya. However, due to appeals from various parties involved, he was asked to remain in his position, while Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala took charge of the church administration management. This decision was made as the loyalty of VSE Adeniyi is currently under scrutiny.”

Quite laughable because such blatant falsehood could only have emanated from a sick mind seeking to fan the embers of discord and create disunity and a crisis of confidence where peace existed. That meeting at the pastoral residence, on the day the sickening article was published, was presided over by His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa, in an atmosphere of conviviality and camaraderie. In attendance were V/S/E S.F. Adeniyi, V/S/E Augustine Olumilade, A/V/S/E Gouan Barthelemy and Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala. Also present were V/S/E Olatan Balogun (H.O.D. USA National Diocese) and Superior Evangelist Awobiyi (Media Head, USA National Diocese). Both of them on a courtesy visit to His Eminence.

At this point, it is important to make the following clarifications:

-V/S/E/ S.F. Adeniyi was NEVER “abruptly instructed to vacate his position.”

-All well meaning members of the Celestial Church of Christ saw the presence of His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa at the 90th Birthday Thanksgiving Service of M/S/E Samson Olatunde Banjo, held at C.C.C. Agidingbi Cathedral on Sunday, 22nd October, 2023, as a right step in the right direction towards reconciliation and peace in the Celestial Church Of Christ. And many of such men and women of goodwill came out to hail that development. We make bold to say that anyone who attempts to twist thIs narrative is FEEDING FAT from the crisis and is AN ENEMY OF THE CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST.

-The long standing cordial working relationship between V/S/E S.F. Adeniyi and Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala is one that is admired by all members of staff of the Pastor’s Office and encouraged by His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa. Unknown to many, the cooperation between the duo is highly commendable. Insiders see them as the “Siamese Twins” of the Pastor’s Office. A synergy that has produced countless positive results in the administration.

-The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, under the watch of His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has grown and spread beyond our collective imagination. The work load in the Pastor’s Office has increased to near overwhelming proportions. We need all our best hands to be on deck to boost productivity, performance and efficiency. This is the reason for Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala’s elevation to a more senior position in the administration. No more, no less! Chronic mischief makers and habitual naysayers are therefore advised to desist forthwith from crying wolf where there is none!!!

-The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide is passing through a phase that demands that we all join hands to put out all flames of discord, quench the fire of all ongoing litigations and protect the legacies handed over to us by our founding fathers, by co-existing in Christian love, peace and unity. Anyone who orchestrates or promotes anything to the contrary is AN ENEMY OF THE CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST.

-Journalism is a very serious and respectable profession guided by strong ethics. Gate crashers and half baked professionals cannot excel in the pen pushing business. Rather than excel, they would only continue to create chaos, confusion and more confusion. Properly trained and tutored journalists do not sell FICTION as FACTS. Only the quacks, mediocres, half baked and untrained ones do so. We can only appeal to them…LET CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST BREATHE!

Finally, always remember that…THE ENEMIES OF THE CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST SHALL EVENTUALLY LICK THE DUST.
