The gathering, which evolved from Entertainment Week Lagos launched in 2022, is now Africa’s largest convergence of creative industries spanning music, film, fashion, technology, and live production.
What began as a Lagos-focused initiative has, in just three years, grown into a trusted continental meeting point for creators, investors, policymakers, and business leaders.
With its new mandate as Entertainment Week Africa (EWA), the platform positions itself as a marketplace for ideas, collaborations, and investments that shape the continent’s creative future.
Closing the Gap
The 2025 edition will run under the theme “Close the Gap”, highlighting the urgent need to bridge divides between talent and opportunity, creativity and infrastructure, and local industries and global platforms.
Organizers say the event will accelerate the transformation of Africa’s creative potential into sustainable economic growth.
Flagship Experiences
EWA 2025 will feature a wide array of flagship events:
Content Festival
Music Festival
Fashion Festival
AI & Tech Expo
Live Production Expo

A Platform for Growth
Beyond being a showcase, Entertainment Week Africa serves as a development and investment platform.
It provides young creatives and emerging businesses with mentorship, skills development, and market access, while giving investors curated entry points into Africa’s booming creative economy.
Since its inception, the platform has hosted leading voices in entertainment, fostered global partnerships, and created visibility for emerging talents, positioning itself as a launchpad for investment and cross-industry collaboration.
