A letter written on behalf of the actor by AFRIMEK clarified that Femi Adebayo was merely present at the event to present the award to the chosen recipient.

The statement aims to dispel any misconceptions surrounding Femi Adebayo’s involvement in the controversial award, emphasizing that he played a ceremonial role in the proceedings rather than being responsible for selecting winners.
