Femi Adekoya drone clearance boosts Nigeria’s commercial drone sector as federal authorities grant security and end user authorisation

Femi Adekoya, Founder and Chief Executive of Founder and PrecisionAg Pro, has announced the securing of federal security clearance and End User Certificate Authorisation from the Federal Government of Nigeria for his commercial drone operations.

Adekoya disclosed the approval through his official social media platform, describing the authorisation as a pivotal milestone for the company’s expansion and credibility within the aviation and agricultural technology sectors.

The excited founder said the drone clearance reflected growing government confidence in the capacity of indigenous technology firms to operate responsibly in sensitive airspace and regulated industries.

The authorisation grants founder and PrecisionAg Pro the legal standing to provide commercial drone services across Nigeria, covering aerial data collection, precision agriculture support and industrial surveillance.

Adekoya stated that the development marked a visionary moment for the company and strengthened its position as a leader in Nigeria’s emerging drone ecosystem, adding that the achievement closed a critical regulatory gap that had limited wider industry participation.

He said the clearance would accelerate efforts to mainstream drone technology in African agriculture, noting that improved crop monitoring, irrigation planning and yield forecasting would now be scaled with greater speed and confidence.

Adekoya described 2025 as a powerful year of progress for the organisation, citing sustained innovation and operational growth at PrecisionAg Pro as evidence of industry momentum.

He expressed optimism about the future, asserting that 2026 would deliver even greater impact and expansion across Nigeria and the wider African market.

He concluded by thanking the Federal Government of Nigeria for its vote of confidence, describing the decision as a defining boost for local technology entrepreneurs committed to national development.
