The premises of the Celestial Church of Christ King of Kings Cathedral was a beehive of activities as the celestial church held its first Children Harvest ever.

Recall that the gigantic and befitting edifice for the service of almighty creator was opened to the public late last year when the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, commissioned it.

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, for a church which is few days above 100days in existence shocked the celestial community and indeed its neighbours with the magnitude of worshipers in attendance to celebrate with the children on their special day tagged Harvest of First Fruits.

According to the Shepherd-In-Charge (SIC) of the parish, Prophet Olajide Salako, being a witness to the maiden edition of the event was something to be happy about.

“This is a special ceremony in our church because we’re celebrating our very first Juvenile Harvest Thanksgiving Service and also rejoicing with all the Celestial kids around the globe.

“We’re really happy to witness this remarkable occasion that the Lord Almighty purpose for us to have,” Prophet Salako said.

While stating that it was a delightful moment, the SIC backed up his claim with a Bible verse saying, “Behold, children are the heritage from the Lord , the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

On his part, the parish’s grand patron and chairman of DPkay Homes & Property Ltd, Sup. Evang. Dele Akinola, revealed that he was indeed impressed by the event.

“Today, KOK rejoices with the entire children church and all the Celestial children around the world for the annual Juvenile Harvest Thanksgiving Service.

“It has been an impressive and delightful journey so far and we bless Almighty Jehovah for giving us yet another reason to celebrate in this wonderful vineyard,” said Sup. Evang. Akinola.

The chairman of the 2022 Juvenile Harvest, Eld. Bro. Ismail Oyerinde, was excited about the success of the maiden event and prayed for more days on earth for all to witness more.

“Glory be to our God, the author and the finisher of our faith on this day the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it.

“It’s our prayer that may we live long to witness more of this celebration in our life time and to all our kids. We pray that the Lord in His infinite mercy make them fulfill destiny and purpose in life,” Eld. Bro. Oyerinde prayed.

The Juvenile Harvest chairman, however, admonish the kids and teenagers to move closer to God and grow in His word to be worthy ambassadors of the KOK parish and the country as a whole.

The Celestial parish which is situated in Iju Isaga area of Lagos state, precisely on Shittu Thompson Street, Irepodun Estate, boasts of the presence of the almighty God.
