Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Ojukwu has commended Anambra Governor Charles Soludo for his “incredible leadership” and support during her ministerial nomination, as Soludo transforms Anambra State

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, has effusively applauded Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State for his “incredible leadership” and unwavering support during her nomination for a federal appointment.

She also commended his visionary approach to transforming all sectors of the state.

Ambassador Ojukwu, who previously served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Soludo on Sunday, June 1, 2025, accompanied by a delegation of stakeholders from Nnewi.

The meeting took place at the old governor’s lodge in Amawbia.

According to Adichie Izuchukwu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on New Media, Ambassador Bianca expressed profound gratitude to Governor Soludo for his invaluable support and thoughtful guidance throughout her ministerial nomination process, up to the present moment.

She affirmed that Governor Soludo has consistently provided her with the necessary backing over the years and thanked him for championing the activities of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), even during challenging periods.

We are working together as progressives, we are one.

In his remarks, Governor Soludo stated that Ambassador Bianca was well-suited for the ministerial appointment, considering her extensive experience as a former ambassador and her specialized training, describing her situation as “a round peg in a round hole.”

The governor emphasized the collaborative spirit, asserting, “We are working together as progressives, we are one.”

Governor Soludo’s ambitious infrastructure and transformation drive aims to turn Anambra State into the country’s “Dubai-Taiwan Silicon Valley.”

This vision has garnered significant commendation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. President Tinubu asserted that Governor Soludo has consistently demonstrated the same intellectual excellence that was evident during the banking consolidation era when he served as the erstwhile Governor of the nation’s Central Bank.

The President specifically lauded the ongoing transformation in Anambra across various sectors, including education, health, human capital development, transportation, innovation, security, and agriculture.
