The documentation was conducted by the Tony Okocha-led APC executive during a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House.
Okocha, who serves as the party’s caretaker chairman in the state, personally presented the membership card to Fubara, describing the moment as a significant step in aligning the governor with the APC’s political structure in Rivers State.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, attended the registration while in the state for project inaugurations and flag-off ceremonies.
His presence underscored the party’s high-level participation in welcoming the governor.
Fubara’s defection earlier in the week marked a major shift in the state’s political landscape, coming at a time when he has repeatedly called for unity and stability in Rivers politics.
The governor has maintained that sustainable progress is impossible amid persistent disagreement.
His move to the APC is expected to reshape political alliances in the state, which has witnessed heightened tensions in recent months.
