Governor Seyi Makinde announces cabinet reshuffle in Oyo State to optimise governance and improve service delivery across key ministries
[dropcap]O[/dropcap]yo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced a significant cabinet reshuffle aimed at enhancing governance and strengthening service delivery across key ministries in the state.

The reshuffle, communicated through a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, was made public on Monday via a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, the reshuffle sees strategic swaps among key commissioners. Seun Ashamu, previously Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who held that position, will now head the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
This reshuffle is designed to enhance efficiency and ensure the best fit of personnel for the continued growth of Oyo State.
Additionally, Dahud Shangodoyin, formerly Commissioner for Public Works, moves to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Solihu Adelabu, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, is now in charge of the Ministry of Establishments and Training, while Segun Olayiwola will take over his previous role in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Governor Makinde emphasized that the changes take effect immediately and are part of his administration’s strategy to optimise the expertise of his cabinet members.
