The late Oluwabamise Ayanwole’s elder brother, Oluwapelumi Ayanwole-Abegunde, has reacted to the viral reports on the mortuary bill’s payment.

Recall that Freelanews reported how the Lagos State government backed up claims of payment with receipts when the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, was reported by the deceased’s family to have paid the bill.

However, in video clips made available to our correspondent, Ayanwole-Abegunde claimed that Jandor, as the PDP’s candidate is popularly called, actually transferred the said amount to his account before he was later informed that the bill has been paid by the state government.

“We need to let the whole world know what is going on. Thank God the Punch (newspaper) reporter published and Mr. Jandor made a contact with me when he saw it and invited me to come and explain what is going on.

“After we explained, he transferred the money into our account but time was gone, so we couldn’t pay the money that day again to Yaba.

“…he didn’t lie…” he said.
