Netizens have been stunned by international fashion brand Gucci after the release of their latest denim collection.
The luxury line released pictures showing the denim pieces designed with a grass stain effect around the knee area, which Gucci explained was an “eco washed organic denim pants,” for about $1200 (N462,864).
The Italian fashion house stated the design was for its grunge-inspired fall/winter 2020 collection and was made from organic cotton, according to People.
“This denim overall is crafted from organic cotton, specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect. It is produced through cultivation and manufacturing processes that don’t involve harmful chemicals, pesticides or artificial fertilizers,” read a post on Gucci’s website.

There were also overalls that came with the latest collection which cost much more than the jeans.
Social media fans were however not happy with the design, slamming the fashion line for the new releases and also the crazy prices.
One claimed this was meant for rich kids who desire to look dirty but at the same time hate dirt.

Gucci selling grass stained jeans for £600. They weren’t Gucci but as a kid playing Football with mates I had many pairs of trousers that looked like that, at a fraction of the price. pic.twitter.com/CT012r5N86
