ID Cabasa ungodly secular music claim sparks debate as he urges Christian creatives to embrace the industry and drive positive change

Veteran Nigerian music producer and Coded Tunes founder Olumide Ogunade has urged Christian creatives to pursue careers in the secular music industry, firmly rejecting claims that the space is ungodly.

ID Cabasa disputes claim that secular music is ungodly position was made public through his social media platform, where the respected executive described the narrative as a deliberate attempt to discourage believers from engaging with mainstream music.

Olumide Ogunade stated that the idea that the secular music industry is controlled by the devil is misleading, emphasising that moral failings should not be used to define an entire sector.

In a pointed message, Olumide Ogunade encouraged Christian creatives already working within the industry to remain confident and intentional, stressing that their presence is both necessary and powerful.

“There’s an agenda to dissuade you from taking that space with a lie that the devil owns that space,” he said, adding that while sin and carnality exist, the world ultimately belongs to God.

Olumide Ogunade further argued that the real challenge is not the existence of evil but the absence of positive influence, noting that this imbalance allows harmful elements to thrive.

Describing the opportunity as transformative, Olumide Ogunade insisted that Christian creatives can bring light into the industry and shape its direction through their values and work.

He concluded by reassuring them that negative forces cannot overpower genuine influence, urging them to step forward rather than withdraw.
