‘International spelling bee’ Peat Philips Foundation flies 8 to Dubai for competition

Peat Philips Foundation a local NGO whose vision is to improve the lives of Nigerian youth through literacy, focused on improving communication skills and developing leadership potentials in youths.

The foundation was officially established on the 31s June, 2018 to fully develop the potentials in leaders for today and tomorrow in a most unconventional manner through competition and bonding.

The 8th season and edition of the annual educational competition being organised by the Foundation is unique in the sense that the franchise for the Intercontinental Spelling Bee and winners of the national competition in Nigeria will be featuring in the 2021 Intercontinental Spelling Bee in Dubai, UAE.

The Nigeria qualifiers are currently in Dubai after rigorous camping and training at the DeMeros Hotels towards their preparation for the competition in Dubai.

The representative were given a boost during their camping when Hon. Fateema Aduke Mohammed made a surprise visit to the Spellers at the camp to motivate and encourage them to do excellently well at the Spelling Bee Olympiad in Dubai.

The Spellers representing Nigeria are:

David Audu Utennami, St. Augustine College, Du Jo’s Plateau State

Nanret Adamu, St. Augustine College, Du Jo’s Plateau State

Oni Inioluwa Daniel, Ambassadors College, Ota

Olujobi Oluwadarasimi Opeyemi, Ambassadors College, Ota

Anino-Oritshe Esezobor, Ambassadors College Ota

Bentinen Anita Yiltok St. Augustine College, Du Jo’s Plateau State

Utibeabasi Okpokowuruk El-an Nexus Academy, Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Matt-Etika Pearl Koshi, Eni Memorial High School, Calabar
