Joshua Ajayi, Chief Executive Officer of Awesome Communications and publisher of the multi-award-winning Brand Communicator magazine, marked his 40th birthday on 20 June 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria, reflecting on a remarkable career dedicated to bridging academia and industry while elevating marketing and public relations standards.

The all white event, which pulled top industry heavyweights, was held at the Gateway Cathedral, Otunba Runsewe Estate, Beside Thermocool, Ahmadiyah Bus-stop, Lagos, Nigeria.

The entrepreneur, who founded Awesome Communications while still a student at Olabisi Onabanjo University, has built a respected platform that informs, connects, and celebrates excellence in Nigeria’s communications landscape.

His work through Brand Communicator has consistently earned recognition, including multiple PR Magazine of the Year titles from bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

In 2010, at the age of 24, Joshua Ajayi was already making waves by launching initiatives like The Communicators magazine and forum to address the gap between classroom learning and professional practice.
