JosPlay celebrates Waje with a curated playlist and Women in Music webinar to mark International Women’s Month
JosPlay, a homegrown and international music streaming platform, is marking International Women’s Day with a spotlight on Nigerian female artiste Waje and a Women in Music webinar scheduled for March 27.

The platform recently released a curated playlist titled Waje Essential, highlighting 30 songs from the singer’s catalogue.
The collection, released on February 6, 2026, celebrates the vocalist’s enduring influence in the Nigerian music industry.
Songs featured on the playlist include I Wish, Onye, So Inspired, Somebody’s Baby, Rara, Who Am I?, Feeling Good, Vibes, Grand, Abasi, Oko Mi and The Truth, among others.
In a statement, JosPlay described the initiative as a tribute to one of Africa’s most compelling voices.
“In celebration of International Women’s Month, we’re honoured to feature the incredible Waje, a voice that empowers, inspires and moves hearts as one of Africa’s most iconic vocalists,” the platform said.
The statement added that Waje Essential showcases the singer’s emotional depth and musical legacy, highlighting songs that continue to shape Afropop and inspire audiences across generations.
Beyond the playlist, JosPlay also announced an upcoming webinar titled Breaking Into The Music Industry as a Woman.
The session aims to equip women in music with the knowledge, strategies and networks required to build sustainable careers in the African music ecosystem.
According to the organisers, the webinar will target female artistes, producers, managers, DJs, spoken-word performers, students and industry professionals across sectors such as media, finance, governance and entrepreneurship.
