In a video she shared on her Tiktok account allegedly recorded from her hiding place, Jibiya revealed that she is afraid for her life.
According to her, trouble started when she made a video condemning the action of the police in parading four girls suspected to be prostitutes.
She informed the police that it was unlawful to have paraded the girls before charging them to court.
“Few days back, the Nigerian Police Command, Katsina State, paraded four suspects, between the ages of 18 to 23, claiming that they were into prostitution.
“Upon seeing the video, I recorded a Tiktok video at my personal TikTok page, where I quoted a section of the Nigerian constitution, which I suggested to the police that they should have taken the girls to court until they’re proven guilty before parading them to the press.
“The next day, I received a call from the PPRO, Gamba Isa, inviting me to the emir’s palace that the emir wanted to see me.
“I was on my way to the emir’s palace when Gamba Isa and his boys came with four cars; blocked my way, they dragged me out of my car and they broke my phone.
“I sustained injury and they dragged me to the emir’s palace,” she narrated.
When they got to the palace, Jibiya claimed that the police officer accused her of looking down on the police, undermining their authority and sabotaging their work.
“And the emir asked Gamba Isa and assigned them remand me,” she said.
