KOSIEC warning as Kogi electoral body alerts parties to scammers demanding payment for nomination forms
The Chairman of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, Mamman Nda Eri, has issued a KOSIEC warning over fraudulent individuals approaching political parties and demanding payments for nomination forms.

In a statement released on Friday, Mamman Nda Eri clarified that the commission does not collect any fees from political parties for nomination forms or related processes.
He instructed all parties to disregard such payment requests and remain vigilant against scams.
The commission highlighted that any suspicious approaches should be immediately reported to the appropriate authorities.
Mamman Nda Eri described the fraudulent activity as a significant threat to the integrity of electoral processes in Kogi State.
The warning comes amid ongoing preparations by political parties ahead of upcoming local elections.
Mamman Nda Eri emphasised that the commission remains committed to ensuring a transparent and orderly electoral system for all stakeholders.
