‘Korra, is this you?’ Old videos surface as popular Instagram dancer’s marriage crashes

Dancer, singer and social media content creator, Korra Obidi, is not having the best of times. She gave birth to her second child some weeks ago and shortly after that, her American husband, Dr Justin Dean, announced that they would be getting a divorce. But, Obidi initially seemed to be unbothered as she continued posting videos of herself dancing on social media.

However, she has now said making those videos was her way of coping with her marital crisis. During a Facebook Live session, she said, “I decided to address some of the things that have been going on. I really don’t want to wash my linen in public because I know the Internet never forgets.”

Watch video below:

But her video has generated a lot of reactions as Nigerian internet community is not having it.

Many wondered why Korra refused to apologise to her husband instead of seeking online validation for what she had done. Some even believed that all her husband’s allegations against her are turning out to be true.

Dotun Adeite wrote:

Anything they said Korra did. Abeg she did it.

I think people forget things a lot and the only reason I remember this incident is because, it was the first time I would hear that name. She has always been manipulative.

Adeite backed up his submission by tagging an event that occurred between Korra and a policeman in 2018 where she made attempting at falsely accusing the officer for something she was guilty of.

According to Buchi Laba Laba in a serialised posts, who related the story Adeite was referencing, Korra made an attempt to accuse and made so much noise on social media that a police man of brutalised her yet she was the provocateur.

“Wanted to keep Quiet about the Korra issue but she’s pushing it too much and its all false. I’m on against Police Brutality but I won’t sit and watch a good police man, infact one of the best policeman I have come across insulted falsely by a Lady that was wrong in Every way.

“We were coming back from Our World cup Road show to the Office(V.I) and there was Traffic upfront because and our Police men came to to see what was Happening and saw some people using One way and in a polite way to them to stop turn away and go use the right way…

“.. Other stopped and turned back but Aunty Korra refused, whined up her Glasses and brought out her phone to start Recording and the police man also brought out his phone to record also!! On getting close to her Aunty started shouting(Nobody touched her).

“Korra was the one that Grab the Policeman phone and Nearly smashed it. Sola (Policeman) DID NOT TOUCH HER ATALL . I was there and I witness everything. She’s just a Noisemaker and I won’t sit and watch her Tarnish the Image of a Good Policeman. Video Next,” Laba Laba wrote.

Watch video below.

Laba Laba explained that they had to appeal to the policeman not to get her arrested but it was a shock that Korra thereafter went online to lie and tried maligning the officer’s name.

“The Policeman in Question Escorts us on our Road show and is a very Good man by name Mr Olorunnisola Ismaila. I know for a Fact that there are many bad eggs in the Police Force but I won’t stand it when the good ones are made to look bad by a Noise making attention seeker.

“Note; We had to beg the Policemen for them not to Arrest her and was kinda very very shocked she came online to rant and even post his pictures on IG with a lot of Celebs supporting her without knowing the Full story. End,” Laba Laba submitted.

As far back as 2018, Korra had been recommended for psychological evaluation.
