Kris Asimoye Bovi: Comedian’s wife reveals she kept her name after marriage to build her business brand successfully

Kris Asimoye, wife of popular Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma, has disclosed that her husband advised her against changing her surname after marriage.

The businesswoman shared the revelation on her Instagram account, reflecting on the reasoning behind his advice.

Asimoye, who has three children with Bovi, admitted that she did not fully understand his guidance at the time.

However, she explained that she now appreciates the wisdom behind it, as keeping her name has allowed her to build a strong business brand.

“When I got married, my husband encouraged me not to change my last name. At the time, I did not fully understand why,” Asimoye wrote.

“Now, building Kris Asimoye as a brand, I understand completely.”
